 Introduction

The VPort 06-2 series of compact, 1080P (1920x1080), H.264/MJPEG dome IP cameras is designed for mobile video surveillance applications. The cameras are compliant with EN 62262 IK8, mandatory sections of EN 50155, and support a -25 to 55°C or -40 to 70°C operating temperature range. With a rugged M12 Ethernet port, SDXC slot for large SD cards, Profile S standardization, built-inaudio line port or microphone, PoE or 24 VDC power inputs, IP66 rain and dust protection, and changeable lens, the VPort 06-2 cameras will perform reliably in a variety of extreme environmental conditions, making them suitable for a wide variety of mobile video surveillance applications.

 White Paper:

Deploying Advanced IP Cameras in the Challenging Light Conditions of Rolling Stock EnvironmentsNew Locations and New Requirements for Onbaord IP CCTV

Whenever a person or surveillance system is trying to capture clear photographs or smooth video, light plays a very important role. Most people have taken a video and seen that the resulting footage is over or under exposed because the camera is unable to adapt to the challenging light environment. Trains are noted for being a particularly difficult environment to film in and several unique challenges arise and must be overcome in order to achieve consistently smooth video footage...Learn more

New Locations and New Requirements for Onboard IP CCTV

IP-based CCTV systems are becoming an absolute requirement for train operations. As IP cameras are deployed in more and more locations onboard a train, there is a corresponding increase in the performance, reliability, and design requirements for those IP cameras.
